"The teachers, with their diverse experience and vigilant support, were incredibly beneficial in strengthening my experience as a student."

2007 Graduate, Associate of Occupational Studies, Graphic Design, The Art Institute of New York City
As a senior designer for Euro RSCG Life 4D in New York City, Rob Roan is responsible for conceptualizing and designing ads for print and web. His job entails meeting with creative directors and his account team to review new and ongoing projects, as well as pitching new ideas to solve client needs. “I am proud of being an integral part of my creative team,” he states.
Rob truly enjoys the creative process, and asserts that the ability to challenge his creativity is one of the best parts of his job—from font exploration to schemes, textures, and image searches. “I enjoy the many steps it takes to implement a strong layout. I just love being a designer.”
Rob, who in 2007 earned his Associate of Occupational Studies degree in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of New York City, believes that his education has helped him in his creative career. “The teachers, with their diverse experience and vigilant support, were incredibly beneficial in strengthening my experience as a student.” And he recommends that today’s students be certain that they have the passion that will drive them to foster their own creativity. “Be unrelenting, because that is something you cannot be taught. You must be fully determined from Day 1.”
